North Sails invests more R&D dollars in downwind sail development than any other sailmaker. Over the past few years our downwind sail development has been progressing at an incredible pace through advances in design and production software.

North Sails Direct spinnaker panels are computer molded, both horizontally and vertically, creating a profile that is smooth. The result is a shape that creates a more stable and even wind flow over the sails surface; making them highly efficient, easy to trim and Fast. Our custom symmetrical spinnakers are constructed with NorLon, a high quality Nylon sail cloth manufactured by North Sails.
