    CUNNINGHAM

The Cunningham is a grommet located above the tack that is used to tighten the luff of the mainsail and pull the draft forward on the sail (flatten the sail). This will decrease the power in your mainsail and is an effective control to use as the wind builds and you try to limit the amount of heel that your boat has.
