First, consult our Sail Buying Guide and when you are ready to begin the process of a new sail follow the steps below:

1. Getting a Quote on a New Sail

Submit an online Request for Quote for pricing and/or additional information, or visit our store for in stock sails.

2. Measurement

If purchasing a custom sail product simply fill out one of our Measurement Forms. Custom mainsail, mizzens, jibs, genoas, staysails, spinnakers and sail covers require a measurement form to be filled out.

Alternatively, you can arrange to have your sail sent to us to be measured if you wish to repeat your existing sail's dimensions. You may also provide luff, leech, foot, slides or tape specifics and have a custom sail built to your specification.

3. Production

Once the measurement, shipping and billing information is complete your sail will receive an approximate ship date. Your sail will then travel from design to production and then finally the shipping department.

4. Delivery

The shipping department is one of the busiest departments for North Direct sails. Once a sail is received at the North Sails headquarters in Milford, CT, it will be prepared to ship and then shipped directly to the address that you provided. If the shipping address differs from the billing address, please make sure that your salesperson is notified.
